In response to the shelter-in-place restrictions in many areas across the U.S. and the recent announcement designating the Atlantic City Convention Center as a temporary field hospital to accommodate expanded capacity, PPAI announced Wednesday its cancellation of Expo East. The trade show was planned for June 3-5 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

“We here at PPAI are making some tough decisions based on the continuing challenges facing us during these unprecedented times,” says President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE. “These decisions are not unlike the ones you are likely making regarding your businesses. We have made the difficult decision to cancel Expo East, effective immediately. We feel this is a sensitive and responsible action.”

The cancellation includes all education sessions on Wednesday, June 3 at the Hard Rock Hotel as well as the trade show exhibits on Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Exhibitors who have signed up for Expo East will receive a credit with PPAI and will be contacted by a representative very soon. Show registrants who have made a purchase or booked housing will be contacted personally as well. PPAI has also added an FAQ section to ppai.org/expoeast with additional cancellation information.
