HanesBrands celebrated National Park Week, April 20-28, by hosting an immersive experience at its Alternative Apparel retail store in Venice, California. HanesBrands, which participates in the promotional products industry as suppliers Hanes/Champion/ComfortWash (PPAI 191138 and Alternative Apparel (PPAI 217134), is the official apparel of the National Park Foundation and a premier partner of the Find Your Park/Encuentra Tu Parque movement.

The Alternative Apparel store hosted an audio experience with sounds of national parks across the country piped throughout the store. As part of the event, an isolated area offered a space for mindful listening, which was intended to give visitors a respite from the sounds of the city.

“This really special audio experience makes people feel like they’re in the middle of a national park, especially when they close their eyes and listen,” says Stefanie Mathew, vice president of corporate partnerships at the National Park Foundation. “The National Park Foundation is thrilled that HanesBrands and Alternative Apparel are helping us bring parks to people and inspire more people to care about these treasured places.”

Rachel Newman, general manager and vice president of Hanes Activewear, adds, “The partnership with the National Park Foundation is a natural fit for Hanes, as our commitment to comfort goes far beyond the clothing we create. It’s about establishing and maintaining eco-friendly practices and standards. We are committed to ethical, sustainable business practices that currently set the standard for apparel manufacturers worldwide.”
