HALO Announces Fall 2017 Scholarship Winners
HALO Branded Solutions (PPAI 106462) has announced the winners of the Sterling, Illinois, distributor’s semi-annual scholarship competition.
The winners are:
- First Place – Alexis M. Preiss of Windermere, Florida. Alexis is studying at the University of Central Florida and received $1,500.
- Second Place – Scott Dixon from Franklin, Tennessee. Scott is studying at the University of Tennessee and received $1,000.
- Third Place – Rachel Hennessey of Windham, New Hampshire. Rachel is a high school senior planning to attend The Catholic University of America. She received $500.

"That's why we are always so pleased to see young people who are passionate about marketing and excited for the future. It's our privilege to interact with them, and we're proud to help them along their path."
The competition is open to full-time students pursuing their undergraduate degrees and considers essay submissions from students across the U.S. Judges evaluate the essays based on creativity, relevance, knowledge of the chosen topic and a commitment to excellence. Candidates were required to show a minimum grade point average of 3.25 and submit a letter of recommendation along with their essay. Winning essays will be published on HALO's blog.
