Brandability (PPAI 103129, Gold), based out of Lubbock, Texas, has acquired Georgia-based distributor Business Innovations (PPAI 102334, Silver). The Business Innovations team will be retained in the acquisition as well as its Georgia-based facility. The combined company will operate under the Brandability name.

“Business Innovations is an innovative and creative company I have worked with and known well for over a decade,” says Matthew Lamb, CEO of Brandability. “Cultural alignment is what connected us, and we’re excited to add their expertise to our organization. It’s really all about the people. Together, we’re committed to building a company that serves its team, clients and mission.”

A ‘Coast-to-Coast Presence’

While the two distributors are based out of West Texas and Georgia, they are both long running companies in the industry, and Business Innovations boasts, “sales resources from California to Florida,” which Brandability plans to bolster and leverage with support and continued growth.

Brandability has a brick-and-mortar presence in:

  • Lubbock, Texas
  • Permian Basin, Texas
  • Fort Worth, Texas
  • Waco, Texas
  • Amarillo, Texas
  • St. Louis, Missouri
  • Oklahoma

Alf Rhea, president of Business Innovations and a veteran of the promotional products industry, says that he saw the sale as an opportunity to merge with a company that shares a similar ethos as he prepares for the next chapter in his life.

“As the decision to retire started looming, I was seeking a company that aligns with our values and would carry forward our mission and development of our people,” Rhea says. “Finding an organization with additional services for our customer base was important for our future success.

“Brandability provides us with the operational and organizational elements we were seeking, and our teams clearly align on values. Both organizations value people and mission.

  • Largely through Rhea’s personal efforts and mission, Business Innovations has had a strong presence in Tanzania, helping creating career opportunities for individuals in impoverished communities.
