PPAI lost a member of its family over the weekend. Kenneth Davis, part of the Association’s member care team, passed away on Saturday, August 10, due to a heart condition. He was 29.
PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, says, “Soft-spoken, courageous and intensely loyal, Kenneth made a tremendous impact on all of us at PPAI and the members he touched, as I am sure he did with everyone he came in contact with in his very short life. We will miss his spirit and friendship.”
Davis had been with PPAI as a member care specialist for the past three years. For many members, he was the first point of contact with the Association when they would call in for help with a variety of things, from questions about their membership to assistance with a password. Davis also welcomed new members on board to make sure they were getting the most out of their PPAI membership, and would help explain the benefits of membership to prospective members.
Gary Slavonic, PPAI’s Director of Business Development, adds, “In many aspects Kenneth and his associates are the ‘tip of the spear’ in regards to their interaction with our membership. Kenneth’s steady and consistent demeanor allowed him to be well received by the membership, as well as a valued member of the Membership Services team.”
A memorial will be held for Kenneth at First Pilgrim Valley Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, August 16, at 7 pm, with a funeral service following on August 17 at 11 am at Lighthouse Church of God in Christ in Dallas.
