Efforts to provide relief to the families and businesses affected by last month’s tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma, have come from across the promotional products industry, as well as from a number of organizations associated with PPAI.
One of those organizations is the Kids In Need Foundation, which is collecting monetary donations to be able to fully equip classrooms in schools damaged by the tornadoes. PPAI has supported the efforts of the Kids In Need Foundation since 2007 through promotional assistance, product and monetary donations and product harvesting at The PPAI Expo.

Industry companies are also reaching out to those affected by the tornadoes. Aakron (UPIC: AAKRON) has donated more than $50,000 in goods to help victims recover. In a statement, the supplier says: “AAkron’s thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to those affected by the devastating tornadoes in Moore. It is our hope that these items ranging from flashlights and drinkware to much needed school supplies will help support their rebuilding efforts.”
Also contributing is Norwood & BIC Graphic North America (UPIC: BIC). The supplier has donated more than 1,000 first-aid kits, sunscreens, hand sanitizers, baseball caps and water bottles to the clean-up and salvage crews working in Moore, Oklahoma.
“Our hearts go out to the families impacted by the tornados in Oklahoma,” says Emmanuel Bruno, vice president and general manager of Norwood & BIC Graphic North America. “We admire the efforts of the clean-up and salvage volunteers and hope these items will help them endure the summer heat and sun as well as manage minor injuries as they work.”
Starline (UPIC: STAR0009) has worked with Oklahoma City distributor ROBYN (UPIC: ROBY0001) to donate hundreds of items to help victims. Starline was able to donate flashlights, cooler bags, blankets, gloves, safety glasses and some Hi-Vis apparel.
