PPAI’s Pyramid Awards Represent Suppliers’ Quality, Success

PPAI’s annual Pyramid Awards, which honor creative excellence in the promotional products industry and recognize dependable suppliers, outstanding promotions, creative campaigns and exceptional craftsmanship by its members, is now accepting submissions for the 2021 Awards through May 7. PPB Newslink has been spotlighting 2021 Pyramid Award winners to learn more about what it means to secure a PPAI Pyramid win. This installment features Bloomington, Indiana, supplier Indiana Metal Craft and its Gold Award in the “print on hard surfaces” category for its submission, “French Lick Casino Ornament Set.”

Indiana Metal Craft fulfilled French Lick Casino’s need for commemorative ornaments to showcase its history with the creation of a full series of ornaments. The supplier has been participating in the Pyramid Awards for many years. Jarod Johnson, vice president of sales at Indiana Metal Craft, says, “It forces us to review the work that we’ve accomplished in the previous year and reminds us to approach each job with the intention of creating an award-winning product.”

Johnson adds, “Every year, we look first at the obvious categories to enter and then consider any other categories that might fit with work that we have been able to completed in the previous year. We then poll our artisans and craftsmen on jobs that they feel will merit entry. Ultimately, our executive team decides on our entries.”

Indiana Metal Craft’s awards are emblematic of the quality of its products and services. Johnson says, “We view our growing stable of Pyramid Awards—and the Supplier Achievement Awards that preceded—as testament to the quality work of the Indiana Metal Craft artisans and craftsmen as a marketing tool and, perhaps most importantly, as a confidence-builder for our customers when they choose Indiana Metal Craft.”
