HPPA Features Education, Tabletop Show At Monthly Meeting

The Houston Promotional Products Association (HPPA) put together an extensive lineup for its members at the regional association’s November 5 meeting. PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, joined the group to deliver a presentation on the state of the industry and developments within it, while the The MLR Alliance—comprised of multi-line rep groups The Identity Group, Pinto Marketing, Tuso Marketing and Reisack Sales and Marketing—sponsored lunch for HPPA members and conducted a table top show for distributors to browse and receive product information and selling ideas. PPAI Staff Help 30-40 Local Families At Thanksgiving

PPAI staff, organized through the Association’s Community Services Committee, turned out in November to help feed local families this Thanksgiving. Staff collected more than 600 pounds of food and ingredients for traditional Thanksgiving meals, as well as $170 in cash and $300 in gift cards. PPAI worked with Irving Cares, a local food pantry, for the holiday food drive. The Association has supported Irving Cares since 2003 and in that time has donated more than 26,000 pounds of goods to benefit hungry families in the community. Read More »

PPAI Staff Join Regional Associations For Product Safety Education

PPAI staff have been on the road, delivering the Association’s Product Safety Awareness (PSA) program to industry regional associations, and updating and educating their members on the latest product safety and regulatory news. In October, PPAI Product Responsibility Manager Tim Brown, MAS, joined the Promotional Products Association of Wisconsin (PPAW) for lunch-and-learn sessions on the PSA program in Pewaukee and Green Bay. Afterwards, he headed west and met with the Promotional Marketing Association of Northern California (PMANC) and the Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC) in October. Read More »

Mark Your Calendar For An Earlier—And Excellent—Expo East

Expo East returns to Atlantic City, New Jersey, and the Atlantic City Convention Center at a new time of year: March 12-15, 2015, bringing The PPAI Expo show experience to the East Coast. A collaboration between PPAI and the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY), this year Expo East will co-locate with the Imprinted Sportswear Show (ISS), the largest trade show dedicated to the decorated apparel industry. The Value Of Education

PPAI is offering an extensive lineup of Product Safety Awareness program courses at The PPAI Expo 2015, both as part of the show’s education schedule and on the show floor for exhibitors. The program is designed to foster an industry-wide commitment and culture where companies are not only aware of product safety, but engaged in the discussion, and it requires every member company wanting to gain access to the PPAI marketplace—as a sponsor, advertiser, trade-show exhibitor, etc.—to complete a minimum of four hours of product safety education no later than the start of Expo East 2015 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
