April16_VOM-400[17]This month, PPAI recognizes Marc Held, vice president of national sales, Bodek and Rhodes, as April’s PPB Volunteer of the Month. The Association’s PPB Volunteer of the Month recognition celebrates individuals who have dedicated their time to fulfilling the charge of a committee, advisory group, work group or task force on which they serve.

Held serves as chair of the Professional Development Committee and was nominated by Stacy Riddler, PPAI professional development associate manager.

“Marc is currently serving in his second year as chair of the Professional Development Committee and has proven to be a leader who truly cares about the work of PPAI and the education that PPAI offers,” says Riddler. “He has a strong commitment to ensuring that the committee sets and meets goals that result in positive value for the membership. Marc actively prepares with staff ahead of each call to ensure that everyone’s time is well spent and that the committee members actively collaborate with each other to produce positive results. He has been a pleasure to work with and we appreciate his time, dedication and commitment to the group.”

The Professional Development Committee provides advice and direction on developing relevant educational opportunities that will speak to the diverse PPAI member base in order to advance the knowledge and professionalism of the promotional products industry.

The committee has a hand in a number of the Association’s upcoming conferences and events. These include the PPAI Women’s Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, June 27-29, and the PPAI North American Leadership Conference August 14-16 and the PPAI Technology Summit August 17-18, both in San Francisco, California.
