The PPAI Expo 2016 kicks off next week in Las Vegas. Running January 10-14 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, the promotional products industry’s largest and longest-running trade show brings attendees from across the country and the world together with top exhibitors, extensive education opportunities, thought-provoking speakers and exciting networking opportunities.

This year brings a new layout to the trade show. A $66 million renovation at the Mandalay Bay has allowed PPAI to combine two show floors into one. More than 870,000 square feet in size, the new layout makes the show’s exhibitors and pavilions easier and quicker to reach. PPAI is hosting a grand opening of the Mandalay Bay’s new halls E and F on Tuesday, January 12. Featuring a live band, the grand opening celebration begins at 8 am during the Product Pavilion Sneak Peek. Distributor attendees can win door prizes, such as an iPad Air2, Apple Watch, luggage, grills and more provided by Expo exhibitors, as well as enter for a chance at the grand prize provided by PPAI: Two American Airlines tickets to anywhere in the continental United States or the Caribbean, and a $1,500 American Express gift card. Door prize drawings will begin at 8:30 am and conclude with the grand prize drawing at 10 am.

Expo 2016 will also be the first in which all of the exhibitors, sponsors and advertisers have attained Product Safety Aware status. The Association’s Product Safety Awareness (PSA) program, which was introduced during The PPAI Expo 2014 General Session and went into effect at Expo East 2015, is designed to foster an industry-wide commitment and culture where companies are not only aware of product safety but engaged in the discussion. Every sponsor, advertiser, trade-show exhibitor, etc. (regardless of membership category) at Expo has designated a roster employee who has completed a minimum of four hours of product safety education to serve as the company’s Product Safety Ambassador.

Outside the trade show, attendees at Expo 2016 have the full range of education opportunities attendees have come to expect from PPAI, including more than 100 education sessions and an accomplished lineup of keynote and general session presentations. Best-selling author, entrepreneur and agent of change Seth Godin will open the show on Tuesday with his morning general session presentation. Godin writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and, most of all, changing everything. His latest book, What To Do When It’s Your Turn (And It’s Always Your Turn), uses new ideas in format and distribution to challenge people to step up and do work that matters.
