The British Promotional Merchandise Association (bpma) is hosting the 2016 bpma Show this week, beginning with an education day today at Whittlebury Hall in Towcester before the trade show opens Wednesday at the nearby Silverstone racetrack.

Today’s education lineup features marketing experts, leaders from the promotional products industry in the UK and U.S.—including Marty Lott, owner and president of apparel supplier SanMar (UPIC: SNMR), PPAI Board Chair Tom Goos, MAS, president of distributor Image Source, Inc. (UPIC: Imagesce), and PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE—who are closing out the day’s schedule.

The bpma Show’s education program explores a number of areas relevant to industry professionals. Sessions tackle such subjects as licensed merchandise, attracting the right sort of clients, customer loyalty programs, email marketing, social media and apparel selling insights. In a session designed for attendee participation and discussion, Goos and Bellantone will offer their perspectives and insights on key issues and opportunities faced by the promotional products industry, its representative trade associations and their member companies.

Tomorrow, the bpma Show’s trade-show floor opens with 90 exhibitors from across the UK’s promotional products industry. While the event is restricted to members and select prospective members, end users are also permitted as long as they are accompanied by a distributor. Special sections of the show floor include a branding zone, a Christmas products display, a British-Made product feature, more than 100 promotional product designs from university students, and a supplier product competition built around a “Winning Formula” theme. The day ends with the bpma Annual Awards Dinner at Whittlebury Hall.
