Representatives from dozens of promotional products suppliers gathered to present their newest and bestselling products at this year’s SAAGNY Summer Showcase, held on May 17 in New York City by the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York. The eighth annual show held for distributors and their clients, which returned to Manhattan this year, drew more than 400 attendees and featured hundreds of selections in wearables and hard goods.

“Sixty-five degrees and sunny without a cloud in the sky was not the only thing that turned out to be a wonderful day in the heart of New York City,” says SAAGNY President Rachel Levin. “The annual SAAGNY End-User Showcase was a great success! Our suppliers, distributors and end users showed up from near and far to partake in a day of sharing, networking and engaging with unique, new and fun promotional items.”

As is customary with SAAGNY events, donations were collected for The SAAGNY Foundation, the association’s nonprofit arm which engages and supports the promotional products community through charitable efforts. During the show, The SAAGNY Foundation collected more than five large boxes of new socks for Housing Works Chelsea, a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS with a mission to end the dual crisis of homelessness and AIDS.

Among the trends that stood out, particularly with apparel, was the continued eco-friendly movement, with the use of sustainable fabrics and/or green giveback efforts, as well as comfy-cozy options with plush fabrics and lush finishes for the winter. Here are three of the wearables featured.

The 9000 Horizon Fleece Jacket is lightweight but exceptionally warm and soft. Made from plush boucle polyester fleece, which includes 20% recycled polyester, it features zippered side pockets and a snap-button chest pocket with woven shoulder patches. Available in S-5XL in black and navy (shown).
