Reciprocity Road has named Visioning A Greater Racine, serving Racine, Wisconsin, as the latest recipient of its BrandGood grant. The $500 grant from Reciprocity Road, an alliance of 10 distributors located across the U.S and Canada, was voted on by the group’s BrandGood ambassadors and will support Visioning A Greater Racine’s mission to develop a flourishing place that residents are proud to call home.

Visioning a Greater Racine (VGR) is a networked community 501©3 nonprofit initiative and grassroots effort to help answer the question, “What will it take to make Racine a place you are proud to live in and call home?” More than 4,500 people responded on what they found most important to the community: education and youth, culture and recreation, revitalization, thriving economy, a model of environment sustainability, social justice, diverse and collaborative leadership, transportation, pride, a positive self-image, a healthy, productive life, and a vibrant atmosphere for young adults.

Rod French of distributor member Quality Resource Group (QRG) is the active VGR volunteer who recommended the organization to the BrandGood team for Reciprocity Road’s quarterly grant recipient. He says, “I’ve been involved with VGR for four years and have been impressed at their commitment to creating real change in the Greater Racine, Wisconsin, area.”

Over the past year, VGR has focused on a Tech Prize competition for southeast Wisconsin students: creating a template for strengthening Racine’s diverse neighborhoods; business mentorship, particularly minority-owned business, and creating a community satisfaction survey to help measure progress to becoming a community where people are proud to work and live.
