Reciprocity Road, an industry buying group, has announced the second recipient of its BrandGood Give Back Contest. Each quarter, BrandGood Ambassadors from eight Reciprocity Road distributorships review stories and photos submitted by their colleagues. Of the nine submissions received in second quarter 2018, BrandGood selected the Cavett Kids Foundation to receive a donation of $500.

An Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based nonprofit, Cavett Kids Foundation offers camps, ongoing programs and annual events for 12,000 children and their families. Additionally, they provide valuable support through diversionary play, dialysis rewards, therapy dogs and leadership programs.

“Together with the help of volunteers from the medical community and beyond, Cavett Kids develops character, coping and connection for kids battling life-threatening illnesses,” says Eric Granata of ROBYN, who nominated Cavett Kids Foundation, citing a long-lasting partnership with the organization. He adds, “Ten years ago, Cavett Kids served members of the ROBYN family through their camps. The organization is a necessity for children with medical problems who feel disconnected and alone, and ROBYN is proud to offer our support.”

Ashley Simpson, executive director of the Cavett Kids Foundation, says, “This award is a true blessing to Cavett Kids. These kids often miss out on the best parts of childhood—sleepovers, sports, school activities and summer camp. But thanks to donors like Reciprocity Road, we can create a safe place for sick children to be free and feel like a kid.”

Danny Rosin, CAS, co-president of Brand Fuel and BrandGood Ambassador, says the initiative’s goal is simple: “BrandGood is a motivator of acts of kindness and giving back to causes that matter to our staff members. During the hustle and bustle of the work day, BrandGood is a reminder of what matters most in this life.”
