The seventh annual PPAI Product Responsibility Summit is bringing a distinguished lineup of speakers to Newport Beach, California, on September 18-20, among them attorney and Prop 65 expert Tiffany M. Ikeda. For industry businesses that have an e-commerce presence, produce a catalog or do business in California, Summit will deliver an invaluable look at the new regulations that go into effect in August 2018.

Ikeda, an attorney with Arnold & Porter/Kaye Scholer, focuses on class action litigation and regulatory issues regarding consumer products. Much of her work involves Prop 65, consumer protection, product liability and environmental law. Her presentation will draw on her experience litigating in federal and state courts and on Prop 65 matters, including defending an amusement park in litigation regarding the sufficiency of warnings related to brass objects; several restaurant companies in cases involving acrylamide in coffee; and a manufacturer of agricultural products in an issue regarding pesticides.

An in-depth education conference, the Summit explores the current landscape in supply chain security, social responsibility and much more. It highlights the growing importance of social compliance audits and ethical sourcing and manufacturing practices. Facilitated by industry leaders, the Summit will address the ways many industry professionals have turned a cost burden into a strategic advantage.

Kicking off with an opening dinner on Sunday, September 17, the Summit follows with two days of insightful education and networking opportunities as well as an optional tour of the Port of Long Beach on Wednesday, September 20. Click here to register.
