IMAGEN Brands Employee Celebrates 60 Years with Company

(April 12, 2022 – Doniphan, MO) Throughout her time with the IMAGEN Brands company, Joyce Anglin has forged numerous friendships, made too many good memories to count, and has always lent a helping hand when ever needed.

To say that she enjoys her job and working for the company would be an under statement, especially given the major career milestone that she recently achieved. On Feb. 19, 2022, Anglin celebrated her 60th anniversary of working for IMAGEN Brands.

Looking back on her career, Anglin said, “I still can’t believe it’s been 60 years that I’ve worked at one place. It’s been so good to be able to work with friends. They’ve become my family. I asked God to allow me to work so I could take of my mother and dad; my prayers were answered.”

Before launching her long and outstanding career with the company, Anglin moved to St. Louis after graduating from high school in 1961 to help her sister look after her triplet sons. Then, one day she received a call from HR Representative Orville Mc Manus about working for the company, which was called Vitronic at the time. Vitronic later joined with Crown in 2016 to form IMAGEN Brands.

“When I was hired, I was never informed what department I would work in –they just asked if I wanted to work,” Anglin said. “When I began, I was placed in Packing. From there, I transferred to Order Entry and worked in that department for 10 years, filling orders and putting stock in the stock room. I’ve worked in every department in the plant but the front office.”

For the past 35 years, Anglin has worked in the company’s warehouse. Her current role as a Material Handler involves cycle counting the whole warehouse to keep the count correct and up to date. When asked what her favorite part of her job is, she said, “My favorite part of working is to do my best in everything that is asked of me. I also enjoy meeting new people to help them do their job. I encourage all new employees to always do their best in everything they do.”

As for how Anglin has managed to work for the same company for 60 years, she lists loyalty, hard work, and teamwork as three contributing factors.“It takes teamwork from every one of us to see the order gets done, and I’ve got great leaders and friends that help me each day,” she said. “I’m so thankful that each time the company has sold I’ve been allowed to stay and remain working. I love working; it’s been my home away from home. I’ve made so many friends.”

Of course, she’s made many fond memories, as well.

“One good memory from after we moved from the old plant to the new plant is, Wanda Jones and I would sing on Fridays,” she said. “Orville Mc Manus would hear us and say, ‘I know it’s Friday.’ We always got our work done, though.”

In recognition of her 60th work anniversary, Anglin’s coworkers at the Doniphan, Missouri, site held a party to celebrate. Anglin greatly appreciated everyone who was involved in the party and gave special thanks to Randy Sams and Tracy Steele for their part in the celebration of 60 years.

Outside of work, Anglin keeps pretty busy, too. During her spare time, sheen joys reading her bible, doing word searches, doing yard work, gardening, quilting, and attending church.

IMAGEN Brands extends a heartfelt thank you to Anglin for her loyalty, dedication, and hard work and congratulates her on 60 wonderful years at the company!
