Proforma has donated to a mission trip led by Threads of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty in developing countries.

Proforma (PPAI 196835, D13) has lent its support to a mission trip to Uganda with a donation to Threads of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty in developing countries. Threads of Hope is an 18-month program that provides women across the country with sewing machines and the education to open their own businesses.

“Here at Proforma, we continually strive to create new opportunities for women,” says Proforma CEO Vera Muzzillo, CAS. “We recognize the unique strengths and challenges that women around the world face, and it is our mission to support meaningful programs like Threads of Hope.”

Many Ugandan women don’t have access to valuable educational opportunities and face long term difficulties providing for themselves. Threads of Hope’s training sets the foundation for the women to generate sustainable income for generations to come. Graduates leave with a strong sense accomplishment and go on to open successful small businesses in their communities.
