Advertising Week is coming to New York City September 28 – October 2 and is bringing the best and brightest of the advertising industry with it. PPAI has been an active participant in Advertising Week for a number of years, and is presenting “An Hour With Seth Godin,” a live thought leadership session, at 10 am on Thursday, October 1, at the Hard Rock Café New York at 1501 Broadway. PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, will join Godin on stage for a one-on-one discussion about Godin’s new book, What to Do When it’s Your Turn (and its Always Your Turn), as well as avoiding the race to the bottom, the importance of community-building and more. The session is designed for marketers, ad industry professionals and advertising students. Godin is also the keynote speaker at The PPAI Expo 2016 in Las Vegas, on January 12 at 8:30-9:50 am.

The first 100 attendees through the doors at the Hard Rock Café New York will be met by greeters and given a copy of Godin’s book. To tie in with the book, PPAI worked  with Godin to create a co-op-themed deck of playing cards, produced by supplier Liberty Playing Cards (UPIC: Liberty) in Arlington, Texas. The deck contains a complete 52-card deck and each card has a quote from Seth’s book and includes wild cards from PPAI’s Product Persona ad campaign. The card box front and back panels are colorful and customized with images from another of Godin’s best-selling titles, Once you have your ducks in a row … Whatcha gonna do with that duck? The box’s spine refer users to PPAI’s buyer site, PromotionalProductsWork.org, SethGodin.com and the book’s YourTurn.Link. And finally, as a parting gift, seminar guests will receive a classic rubber duck imprinted with the event’s hashtag #ITSYOURTURN produced by San Jose, California-based supplier Assurance Industries (UPIC: ASSURANC ).Guests will also be treated to a book signing with Godin following the seminar.
