PPAI Granted Get In Touch! Trademark Registration

PPAI has officially registered the Get In Touch! mark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (Reg. No. 5,156,031).

“We are very excited to announce that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has approved the trademark registration of ‘Get In Touch!,’ says Paul Bellantone, CAE, PPAI president and CEO. “Our success is based on our ability to competitively position the promotional products industry. It was very important for us to trademark this term so we can clearly distinguish one of the most unique characteristics of promotional products advertising, the ability to Get In Touch! with targeted audiences by putting brands in their hands like no other medium can.”

PPAI has used the Get In Touch! trademark and slogan, “Advertising that lives on,” in multiple media outlets and throughout the industry for many months as part of its five-year, multimillion-dollar campaign designed to increase awareness and enhance the perception of the promotional products industry as well as communicate the benefits of working with promotional consultants. The overall goal of the campaign is to direct a larger share of advertising dollars to the industry. The program includes a toolkit with logos, ads and other collateral available for download by industry members.

Congratulations to all at PPAI involved with this outstanding PR campaign that is sure to help the promo industry continue to prosper and grow!

And for all of the many other valuable, important 'success-driving' services that PPAI provides to its membership and the industry at large.

One little 'make it better' suggestion I have is a question:

Have you evaluated how -- by marketing it -- you may be able to monetize the "Get In Touch!" campaign? (I.e., make a 'profit' from the investment.)

Point being that the additional revenues monetizing-efforts generate could be allow PPAI to EXPAND and MULTIPLY its great program's reach and impact for members and the industry at large!

Perhaps PPAI can monetize it by developing spin-off advertising means and vehicles that allow suppliers and distributors to co-sponsor/co-brand PPAI's impressive "Get in Touch!" campaign in marketing their businesses.

(PPAI would make it available to all supplier and distributor members, on a cost/fee basis, as available, as an "opt-in" member-benefit.)
