The Michigan Promotional Professionals Association (MiPPA) has selected John Andersen, MAS, territory sales manager – Great Lakes for Showdown Displays as its 2021 Hall of Fame inductee.

“The MiPPA Hall of Fame is our highest honor, reserved for those who have excelled in their contributions to MiPPA, the regional and the industry community,” says Sandra Kelley, MAS, president of MiPPA. “John is just the 12th person in MiPPA’s 52-year history to receive this honor.”

Executive Director Paul Kiewiet, MAS+, adds, “John has demonstrated his commitment through years of continuous leadership and volunteerism. He’s always the first one to arrive at set-up before an event and the last to leave. He’s also an inspiration through example who after surviving a kidney transplant has dedicated himself to others facing life-threatening health issues.”

Andersen served on the MiPPA board of directors and as president, and also served on the board of the Ohio Promotional Professionals Association and as a member of its executive committee as vice president. He began his promotional products career at Admore as an order processor and worked his way up to national sales manager. He joined Showdown Displays in 2016 and was voted the Great Lakes Supplier Rep of the Year in 2019.

He will be officially inducted and celebrated at the MiPPA Annual Meeting, Dinner and Awards Celebration on November 11 at the Skyline Club in Southfield, Michigan.
