Supplier Independent Folders (PPAI 111993, S2) has rebranded as Independent Printing & Packaging to represent its growing packaging capabilities. Independent Printing & Packaging shares a parent company, Midlothian, Texas, based Ennis, Inc., with industry suppliers Folder Express (PPAI 354129, S1) and Admore, Inc. (PPAI 111144, S10).

Independent Printing & Packaging began in a small shop in De Pere, Wisconsin, in 1935 and specialized in printing handbills, business forms, invitations, business cards and other items for local business owners. In 1992, it expanded its services to a national level by joining trade associations and selling standard products through qualified print distributors. The company then rebranded as Independent Folders in 2012 to differentiate from local print shops serviced through the distributor channel.

“We no longer feel the Independent Folders identity is serving its purpose,” says Jim Gingle, general manager. “We feel the growth and progress made over the past 10 years in terms of new product development has been lost on our customer base due to our hyper-specific brand name. We are so much more than just folders and want to create a direction for the future that will allow for continued growth and innovation.”

Independent Printing & Packaging’s product offerings include folders, binders, key card holders and other printed presentation materials, as well as packaging, large format graphics and business checks and forms.
