Tim Bull, founder of Fort Worth, Texas, distributor Texas Sportswear & Specialties, passed away on January 4. He was 72.

Bull attended Texas Christian University and founded his distributorship not long after graduating. He ran the business for 49 years. Texas Sportswear & Specialties was one of the first full-service screen printing and embroidery businesses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Active in various nonprofits, Bull volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, in which he served as a Big Brother for more than 10 years. He was also passionate about sports, particularly baseball, football and golf—a favorite activity was traveling across the country with his son, Tyler, to watch him play select baseball for over a decade. He also had a passion for history and music, especially the Beatles. During college, he was a touring manager for the 70s rock band, Bloodrock.

Bull was preceded in death by his father, Louis, his mother, Margaret and sister, Margaret. He is survived by his daughter Shannon, son Tyler and many siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Due to COVID-19, no large celebration of life is planned at this time. Donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tarrant County can be made to honor Bull.
