Jack Scarborough, founder of Lubbock, Texas-based distributor Scarborough Specialties (PPAI 103129), passed away on July 19 after a battle with cancer. He was 65.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, Scarborough’s interests included traveling, the mountains of Ruidoso, golf, quail hunting, cookouts, the Red Raiders, and time with friends and family. He founded his eponymous distributor business in 1992.

Scarborough is survived by his wife Cindy, daughter Jill Jacobus and her husband Jay, son Stan and his wife Amanda, daughter Lee Bryant and her husband Tory; eight grandchildren; brother Jerry and his wife Janette, sister Judy Sell and her husband George, and sister-in-law Cathy Wilson.

A visitation for Scarborough was held Monday at Lake Ridge Chapel and services were this morning at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Lubbock.
