David Henderson Shaw, co-founder of distributor Shaw Print & Promotion powered by HALO Branded Solutions in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on January 13 after a long battle with cancer. He was 61.

The grandson of PPAI Hall of Fame member Jay S. Shaw and son of Hall of Fame member Jay F. Shaw, Shaw spent the summer months in college working as a night watchman at Shaw-Barton, a national calendar and promotional products company in Coshocton, Ohio. Following graduation, he joined his father and brother, Jeff, at Shaw-Barton. In 1990, David and Jeff left Shaw-Barton to cofound Shaw Print & Promotion.

Shaw retired from Shaw Print & Promotion in 2014, just prior to its affiliation with HALO Branded Solutions in January 2015. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, and afterwards volunteered at The Ohio State James Oncology Center to help others battling cancer.

Shaw and his wife Pam, whom he met at Shaw-Barton, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, on the golf course and traveling.

Shaw is survived by his wife Pam, brother Steve and his wife Jody, brother Jeff and his wife Joyce, brother Bill, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Shaw will be held at the Schofdinger Northwest Chapel on January 19 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Ohio State James Hospital or Ohio Health Hospice.
