Jason Lucash, co-founder of supplier Origaudio (PPAI 421483, S7) and now senior vice president of marketing and innovation at HPG, has introduced a new brand to the food gift category with the official launch of his latest venture within the HPG family: Batch & Bodega. The new brand, shipping from HPG’s Minnesota facility, bundles exclusive, award-winning snacks from across the U.S. with best-selling hard goods from HPG’s extensive assortment to create unique, giftable kits.

Lucash conceptualized and developed the brand from scratch and built it with his team over the past year. “Passionate food makers across the country are waking up every morning trying to make the most delicious cookie, peanut butter, even ice-cream cone, and no one in the promo industry has been able to tap into that home-grown supplier talent until now,” he says.

Sources for products in the line include fourth-generation-owned Byrd’s Cookie Company in Savannah, Georgia; toffee cracker startup Legally Addictive in Brooklyn, and Martin’s Pennsylvania Dutch Pretzel company in Moira, New York. Almost every aspect of the batches can be customized, from the high-end retail packaging to the hard goods they contain, and the complementary handwritten notecards. Following the success of the Origaudio model, Lucash has built the batch model the same, with each kit having zero setup fees and a one-piece order minimum.
