Due to the current pandemic situation in the city, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), organizer of the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, among other events, have pushed the seven HKTDC trade fairs originally scheduled for April to July. The shows will be held concurrently in hybrid format and branded collectively as “HKTDC International Sourcing Show.”

  • In recent weeks, Hong Kong has been hit particularly hard by the Omicron wave of the pandemic, with daily new case counts exceeding 20,000 and the wave leaving almost 6,000 deaths.
  • Numbers are improving in the city—on Monday it dipped to approximately 14,000 new cases, the third day in a row that was below 20,000—but authorities remain cautious.

Considering the current pandemic situation, the HKTDC, in consultation with industry representatives and key stakeholders, chose to reschedule the shows to July. The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, which was originally scheduled for April 27-30, will now be held July 5-8, with an accompanying virtual show following on July 5-15.

Along with the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, other shows pushed back to July include the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition), Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition), Hong Kong Houseware Fair, Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair, Hong Kong Fashion Week and Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, which is co-organized with CIEC Exhibition Company (HK) Limited.
