HALO Branded Solutions (PPAI 106462, D15) has announced a major expansion of the distributor’s corporate headquarters in Sterling, Illinois. The expansion comes 16 months after the completion of HALO’s new corporate headquarters and will include an additional 253,300 square feet of warehouse space and 23,500 square feet of office and meeting space.

When the project is completed in early 2020 the facility will accommodate an additional 350 employees. HALO currently employs approximately 600 employees at its Sterling location. The initial buildout is in progress with 380 additional parking spaces and warehouse construction adjacent to the firm’s current headquarters. The projected completion for the warehouse space is December, with the office completion by May 2020.

“Our original intent was to build a second phase within five years,” says HALO CEO Marc Simon. “Favorable market conditions, acquisitions and the addition of several major clients during the past two years have provided us with the opportunity to expand our headquarters campus much earlier than anticipated. We were fortunate to have the support of the City of Sterling, Sterling’s local economic development team and our financial sponsors, TPG Growth, to accelerate our expansion.”

Sterling Mayor Skip Lee adds, “HALO has been an excellent corporate citizen. They have a strong community focus and they treat their employees very well. We are extremely pleased with the many contributions they make to Sterling and the surrounding communities.”

Winter Construction of Freeport, Illinois, was awarded the contract for the building and grounds. Simon adds, “The Winter team won international design awards for our current space and we were confident in their expertise. The innovation and employee-centric design of our addition will allow us to serve our clients with sophisticated distribution solutions while providing our valued staff with a comfortable and functional workspace for years to come.”
