The Georgia Association Of Promotional Products Professionals (GAPPP), held its University: LIVE! Event, a full day of industry-focused education, on July 20, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.

The event was held virtually in 2020—one-and-a-half hours a day across six days total over the course of two weeks, to accommodate attendees who logged in from all across the country. This year, as in years past, distributor attendees moved room to room for supplier presentations from Hit Promotional Products, PCNA, Eversole Run and Gempire in the morning. Each class focused on case histories and ideas to include in presentations to distributors’ end buyer clients.

The seven afternoon sessions, each lasting 25 minutes and facilitated by “Promo Professors,” included diversified topics such as developing a marketing plan, building a successful incentive program, independent contractor legislation, financing a business and more. The course selection was up to each participant, who could choose four from the seven. The attendees of the afternoon sessions received CAS and MAS credits to apply toward their professional designation.

GAPPP also hired a professional photographer to be on hand in the morning, allowing members to take new headshots at no cost.

Through the very generous donations from many supplier members, GAPPP raffled high-end gift items to all attendees and presenters, helping GAPPP raise more than $1,000 for Jesse’s House, an emergency shelter for adolescent girls experiencing abuse and neglect. In 2019, GAPPP Members participated in the “Fairy Tale Dash” 5K and 10K Fun Run, for which GAPPP was a Platinum Sponsor.
