Follow Supplier Status Updates On PPAI Site
Imagen Brands is one of the latest suppliers to announce the temporary closing of two of its locations because of government-mandated restrictions. Following stay-at-home orders from governors in Missouri and Alabama, Imagen Brands’ Vitronic facility in Doniphan, Missouri, temporarily suspended operations on Monday and its Crown facility in Mobile, Alabama, is scheduled to follow suit on April 13. Both are expected to reopen no later than May 1. “Our main concern is for the safety of our employees and our country as we work through this COVID-19 issue,” said President Paul Lage, MAS, in a statement issued to customers on Monday.
On March 31, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker extended the statewide stay-at-home order through the end of April. Union-based supplier BAG MAKERS, which was recently designated an essential business as part of the required supply chain that provides products to essential industries like hospitals, pharmacies, food service and government agencies, is planning to resume full operations on April 8. The company has been closed under the governor’s orders since March 20, and had been processing orders remotely, and providing project/quote assistance and sales ideas by phone or email.
Most industry suppliers have had to make some changes to their operational status, services or hours of operation over the past few weeks based on government mandates. Distributors can keep up with the status on suppliers by checking the published updates at ppai.org/unique/coronavirus-related-supplier-updates. These alphabetical listings are posted by suppliers and can be updated as often as needed.
