This month, PPAI recognizes Eric Alessi, president of Easton, Pennsylvania, business services provider Essent Corporation, as the March PPB Volunteer of the Month. The Association’s PPB Volunteers of the Month have dedicated their time to the progress and fulfilling the charge of a committee, advisory group, work group or task force on which they serve.

Alessi serves on PPAI’s Technology Committee and was nominated by Paul Elfstrom, PPAI IT director and staff liaison to the Technology Committee. Elfstrom says, “Eric is a wonderful volunteer who is passionate about technology. His contributions to the Technology Committee and the Technology Summit have been outstanding. Not only has he donated his time and expertise for volunteer activities, he’s also supported PPAI events and programs through sponsorships provided by Essent. They’ve been our top Tech Summit sponsor for the last three years. That reflects an incredible amount of commitment and dedication to what he believes in.”

Elfstrom adds, “I’ve had the opportunity to network with Eric outside normal volunteer activities as well. We’ve discussed infrastructure products and services that we use for our own organizations. It’s a great way to compare notes and to learn from experiences. Eric has always been gracious with his time and I’m glad that I’ve had the opportunity to get to know him.”

The Technology Committee is responsible for providing technology-related education and guidance to PPAI staff and members to enable a more efficient industry. The Technology Summit Work Group supplements the work of the Technology Committee for the Technology Summit.

PPAI is looking for the next PPB Volunteer of the month. The Association is looking for someone who:
