In its second quarter Market Outlook Report, ITR Economics, an economic research and consulting firm that offers economic information, insight, analysis and proactive strategies, points to continued growth in the year ahead for both distributors and suppliers.

ITR’s Distributor Total Sales Index 12-month moving average is up 11.5 percent from one year ago. In fact, the industry segment’s growth has exceeded ITR’s previous outlook. While it expects growth to exceed its estimates, the pace will likely slow at least through 2017.

Supplier Total Sales are more in line with ITR’s forecasts, with the 12-month moving average up 9.4 percent from one year ago. Looking ahead, growth will slow through early 2016 and then accelerate into early 2017.
