Dana-Geiger-Donna-Hall-MemoThe Regional Association Council (RAC) has named Dana Geiger, executive director for the Virginia Promotional Products Association (VAPPA) and the Promotional Products Association of Florida (PPAF), the recipient of the 2015 Donna Hall Memorial Grant. The award presentation will take place during the opening reception and dinner tonight at the 2015 RAC Leadership Development Workshop in Grapevine, Texas.

Created by the RAC Board in 2013, the Donna Hall Memorial Grant honors the memory of Donna Hall, who served as executive director of the Michigan Promotional Professionals Association (MiPPA). Funded by RAC, the Donna Hall Memorial Grant provides regional association executive directors the opportunity to advance their education and careers by providing financial support to attend education conferences and events.

"I am honored to be named this year's grant recipient,” says Geiger. “The funds provided by the Donna Hall Memorial Grant will make it possible to pursue educational opportunities that will broaden my knowledge of association management. I am looking forward to connecting with executives from different industry trade associations with the goal of sharing best practices that will undoubtedly enhance the work I provide for both VAPPA and PPAF. Thank you to the Regional Association Council for providing this program to the executive directors of regional affiliates. It means a great deal to work with a community that supports and encourages continued professional education."

Geiger was selected from a pool of executive directors who applied for the grant, and was chosen by a four-person advisory group. She will receive up to $1,500 in tuition and travel expense reimbursement to attend education and professional development workshops and events.
