The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, December 14, on the communication challenges associated with working with overseas production partners.

During the webinar, featured CPSC staff will outline the foreign language media and international training and outreach available through the organization, identify what information is available on consumer product safety policy and safety requirements, and what languages the information is available in and how to find it. They will also review domestic CPSC training and international outreach activities, especially in China, Mexico and Vietnam.

While accessible to the general public, the session is being offered specifically for the promotional products industry. The CPSC will provide a 30-minute overview of the available international resources followed by an opportunity to ask questions.

Speakers will include: Sylvia Chen, program manager for East Asia/Pacific Region and foreign language media program; Arlene Flecha, program manager for Southeast Asia and training exchanges; Tilven Bernal Salazar, program manager for Western hemisphere; and Steve Williams, program manager for China.
