The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for chairs and swings imported by Far East Brokers and Consultants under the Leisure Way brand. While not part of the promotional products industry, the recall highlights the risk of excessive lead levels in the screen-printing on the fabric of a product. Excessive lead levels are a violation of the federal lead paint standard.

About 6,000 of the products, which were manufactured by Zhejiang Haifu Leisure Products Co. Ltd., of China, were sold between January and April 2016 across the U.S. While no injuries have been reported, the CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using the recalled chairs and swings, take them away from children and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
