commonsku is hosting a live, virtual conference, skucon at home, on May 21. The Toronto, Ontario-based promotional products business and sales software provider’s event will feature main stage presentations, tactical breakouts, one-on-one networking and skucon stories from the trenches. All proceeds from the conference will be donated to United Way Worldwide.

“Given the current climate and the demand for creative solutions, we wanted to create an experience that would reflect the genuine heart of the community at this time,” says Mark Graham, commonsku’s president and chief brand officer. “With skucon at home, we’ve designed a virtual conference that is not a webinar, but an interactive experience with small breakouts, intimate conversations with experts and one-to-one networking. We wanted to create an online venue and format that would reflect all the energy of our in-person conferences. Our vision for skucon at home is to continue to inspire and embolden the innovators, explorers and dreamers in our great industry.”

skucon at home’s schedule, which will run from 1:45 – 5 pm ET, features keynotes including David Nicholson of Polyconcept North American (PCNA); April Dunford, entrepreneur and startup marketing expert, and Jamie Mair and Barry Deutsch from BDA.

The conference will also feature stories and breakouts from Nick Lateur of IMAGEN Brands, Meg Erber of S&S Activewear, Cola Svec and Angie Svec of Soul & Swag, Denise Taschereau of Fairware, Renya Nelson of Brand+Aid, Tom Rector of Screenbroidery, Brian Gill of thumbprint, Rich Patterson of Patterson Brands, Brandon Mackay of SnugzUSA, Pierre Martichoux of Chameleon like, Hayley Green of Rightsleeve, Anna Branch of Creative, Johanna Gottlieb of Axis Promotions, Kate Plummer of Clearmount, Chris Ferriter of SoBe Promos, Roni Wright of The Book Company, Gillian Hammond of Brand Fuel, Inc. and Janie Gaunce of Grapevine Designs.

“We are excited to not only bring the community together at this time but also provide an opportunity to give back,” says commonsku CEO Catherine Graham. “Since the impact of COVID-19 on our industry is truly global—from our supply chain to the commonsku community—United Way Worldwide makes sense as a charity because skucon at home is an experience that unites all of us, globally.”
