commonsku (PPAI 552077), a promotional products business and sales software provider headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, hosted its second-annual skucamp this week in New Orleans, Louisiana. skucamp is a business-by-design boot camp for entrepreneurs and sales professionals. The event brought more than 130 business owners and salespeople together for two days; they essentially stepped away from working in their business to spend time with industry experts to work on their business.

Held at the Ace Hotel in New Orleans, skucamp featured a series of in-depth workshops for attendees. These included How to Grow a Colossally Successful Business with author and international speaker Mike Michalowicz; Easy Over Everything: Simplifying Your Sales Process with Jake Malishkevich of PromoDealer; Building a Company to Last and a Life to Love with Rod Brown of MadeToOrder, Inc.; Building a High Performance Team with Catherine Graham of RIGHTSLEEVE; So You Suck at Content Marketing - It’s Time to Suck Less with Bill Petre of PromoCorner and Kirby Hasseman of Hasseman Marketing; Path to the Cash, Find Revenue Faster with author and business development consultant Caryn Kopp; Inspirational Merchandising for High-Impact Sales with Melissa McCauley of Numo; Website Makeover: Transform Your Site Into a Lead Gen Machine with Ben Taylor; From Passive to Passionate: Converting Customers Into Raving Fans with Ruth Verver; and Living with and Leveraging Adversity with Craig Morantz.

“The energy and inspiration that transpired over the two-days was electric,” says Mark Graham, commonsku’s chief platform officer. “We were so inspired by the community of young and young-at-heart professionals that gathered together to open their minds and hearts to each other, the shared learning and the connections made here were profound. Our vision for skucamp was to empower the next generation of creative entrepreneurs, and we are so proud to have played a part in inspiring them to dream big, risk boldly, and give them the tools to design their future success. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the amazing speakers and the gathering of incredible, like-minded entrepreneurs who encouraged us over the two days, by their zeal, their imaginations, and their enthusiasm.”
