R.S. Owens, the official manufacturer of the made-in-USA Emmy Award, plays a significant role in one of the most successful and anticipated television events, The Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, set to air on September 22 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. R.S. Owens is part of the St Regis Group (PPAI 230188, S6).

Earlier this week, the Chicago-based supplier delivered the completed Emmys to O’Hare airport under guard for their flight to Los Angeles.

Since then, the company has been waiting along with nominees Ted Danson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Hugh Grant, Michael Douglas and other talent for the winning announcements to be made during the awards program set for Sunday at 8 pm ET on Fox.

The iconic trophy starts at the supplier’s foundry where each Emmy award is born of molten metal. After casting, the award is polished to a luxurious smooth finish and then electroplated in 24-karat gold. The engraving department meticulously engraves each nominee’s name on a black brass wrap-around band before the final packaging is completed.

The supplier has been making the Emmy Award in America since 1973.
