The British Manufacturing (Briman) Group hosted a meeting of its members at the UK’s House of Commons earlier this week for dinner and a presentation by Jonathan Djanogly MP, a member of the British Parliament, on the business implications of Brexit, the country’s withdrawal from the European Union.

The Briman Group was formed by the British Promotional Marketing Association (BPMA) to support British manufacturers of promotional products. Its membership includes 19 manufacturers. Representatives and guests from 16 of the manufacturers attended the meeting.

Djanogly’s speech to the Briman Group members focused on the latest developments in the country’s transition. “We can be all but sure that Britain is leaving the EU in March 2019 and it is vital that British industry is prepared. I do hope the BPMA is well prepared,” he said.

Mark Alderson, operations manager at Briman Group manufacturer First Editions, adds, “Jonathan Djanogly offered the Briman Group a fantastic insight into daily actives within the Houses of Parliament. His comments on a selection of current topics were ranging and detailed. As a member of the Brexit Select Committee he was able to offer reassurances that Brexit will be conducted on UK terms, and explained the differing plans if an agreement cannot be reached.”
