Woodinville, Washington-based distributor Bensussen Deutsche & Associates (PPAI 109381), in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a voluntary recall for menorahs. The glue that holds the menorah’s candleholders to the base can melt, causing the candleholders and lit candles to fall off, posing burn and fire hazards.

The menorahs were given away for Jewish Heritage Night at a Golden State Warriors game on December 14. About 1,800 of the menorahs were distributed at the game. BDA has received one report of glue melting, causing the candleholder to fall off, but there have been no reports of injuries. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled menorahs and dispose of them.

For more information on the recall, consumers can call BDA toll-free at 888-860-6693 from 8 am to 5 pm PT, Monday through Friday, or contact them online at www.bdainc.com.
