Add Your Voice To L.E.A.D. Local New York
PPAI and New York industry professionals are in Albany this week for Legislative Education and Action Day (L.E.A.D.). On February 24, the Empire State’s industry members will meet with legislators to educate them on the state’s promotional products industry.
L.E.A.D. Local participants, a joint delegation from PPAI and the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY), have 18 meetings scheduled in Albany tomorrow, including with New York State Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan.
SAAGNY Executive Director Jonathan Riegel, MAS, says, "Our meetings in Albany are an opportunity to introduce New York's legislators to the promotional products industry, and educate them its economic impact and the people and companies that make it up. And we want them to know about SAAGNY, its constituents and that we're a resource available to them."
Promotional products advocates from across the state are encouraged to add their voice to the conversation and participate in PPAI’s virtual fly-in, exclusively for New York-based industry members. The virtual fly-in is an opportunity to illuminate the value and scope of the promotional products industry, share insights about the state’s promotional products businesses with those who are most active in New York and strengthen the conversations industry representatives are having with legislators in Albany.
L.E.A.D. Local New York, produced in collaboration with the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY), is part of PPAI’s state-level legislative outreach efforts and delivers the promotional products industry’s message to state legislators. It is conducted alongside PPAI's federal-level outreach and engagement with legislators, government agencies and regulatory groups, and the annual L.E.A.D. in Washington, D.C.
