Through its PromoTalks podcast, PPAI brings industry thought leaders, business executives and subject matter experts together for insightful, engaging conversations important to promotional  products professionals and their businesses.

In August, PPAI PromoTalks debuted a new Entrepreneur Series in which promotional products industry business owners share their individual stories, experience and advice to help listeners learn more about the entrepreneurial side of business leadership. The series began with an interview with Scott Dunstan, president of Charlotte, North Carolina, distributor, The Dunstan Group. PromoTalks also spoke with Chuck Dahlgren, president and owner of Minneapolis, Minnesota-based supplier Crystal D, who gave listeners insights into why he started the company, what he wished he’d known then and candid advice for other entrepreneurs; and Chuck Hammond, CEO of supplier Raining Rose, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who spoke about his original dream for the company and how it’s evolved, the obstacles he’s faced and what inspires him. More episodes in this series will be released through October.

Also in August, PromoTalks welcomed PPAI’s new President and CEO Dale Denham, MAS+, to the podcast. Denham spoke with Tina Berres Filipski, director of publications and editor at PPAI, about his new role and priorities for the organization along with insights on his leadership style, what inspires him, why he was drawn to the position and more.

Another new episode “The Supply Chain Crisis: An Open Conversation With Suppliers,” featured Howard Cubberly, general manager of Goldstar Global, and David Berger, a partner with Global Promo, who discussed the unprecedented situation in the supply chain that is causing significant material and inventory shortages and delays, and disruptions in shipping and fulfilling orders. Cubberly and Berger shared their insights as to what has caused the problem, how suppliers are handling the challenges, what distributors can do and why they think it will alter the industry
long-term.
