Every year, November 11 is commemorated in the United States as Veterans Day. The date honors the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918 that marked the end of World War I, known as Armistice Day. In 1926, Congress passed a resolution to make Veterans Day a national holiday.

On Veterans Day, businesses, nonprofits and organizations of all kinds can show their thanks and appreciation to all the veterans who have given so much and served the United States so honorably. As of April 2021, there were more than 19 million living veterans who served during at least one war, according to History.com, and about 11% of them are women. Many of these veterans are entrepreneurs, with veteran-owned businesses making up about 6% of all U.S. businesses and generating an estimated $947 billion in receipts, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

In this issue of Promotional Consultant Today, we present a few promotional ideas for honoring veterans this November.
