Cinco de Mayo—Spanish for “fifth of May”—is an annual holiday that honors Mexican heritage and resilience. The day commemorates the anniversary of Mexico’s victory over the French Empire in 1862. Contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo isn’t Mexico’s Independence Day—that’s September 16.

Whether or not you work with Mexican-owned businesses, you can still create meaningful, inclusive campaigns for the occasion.
