Cap America Ends 2014 With Recognition, Charitable Contributions

Fredericktown, Missouri, supplier Cap America ended 2014 on a high note with CEO Phil Page presenting a check for $5,000 to the Madison County Salvation Army Board and awarding multi-line rep firm The Doyle Group its Distinguished Sales Award. In total, the company donated $10,883.40 to charitable organizations in 2014, and it has set a goal of $22,000 for 2015. NEPPA Fall Client Show Features Education, Awards And Board Election

The New England Promotional Products Association held its Fall Client Show at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut, September 22-23. A reception at the Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theatre included an annual meeting, the election for NEPPA’s 2015 board of directors, and the presentation of the 2014 Beach Awards. HPPA Features Education, Tabletop Show At Monthly Meeting

The Houston Promotional Products Association (HPPA) put together an extensive lineup for its members at the regional association’s November 5 meeting. PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, joined the group to deliver a presentation on the state of the industry and developments within it, while the The MLR Alliance—comprised of multi-line rep groups The Identity Group, Pinto Marketing, Tuso Marketing and Reisack Sales and Marketing—sponsored lunch for HPPA members and conducted a table top show for distributors to browse and receive product information and selling ideas. PPAI Staff Help 30-40 Local Families At Thanksgiving

PPAI staff, organized through the Association’s Community Services Committee, turned out in November to help feed local families this Thanksgiving. Staff collected more than 600 pounds of food and ingredients for traditional Thanksgiving meals, as well as $170 in cash and $300 in gift cards. PPAI worked with Irving Cares, a local food pantry, for the holiday food drive. The Association has supported Irving Cares since 2003 and in that time has donated more than 26,000 pounds of goods to benefit hungry families in the community. Read More »

PPAI Staff Join Regional Associations For Product Safety Education

PPAI staff have been on the road, delivering the Association’s Product Safety Awareness (PSA) program to industry regional associations, and updating and educating their members on the latest product safety and regulatory news. In October, PPAI Product Responsibility Manager Tim Brown, MAS, joined the Promotional Products Association of Wisconsin (PPAW) for lunch-and-learn sessions on the PSA program in Pewaukee and Green Bay. Afterwards, he headed west and met with the Promotional Marketing Association of Northern California (PMANC) and the Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC) in October. Read More »

PPAI Celebrates Halloween With A Costume Contest And Chili Cook Off

PPAI staff celebrated Halloween and cooler weather’s arrival with a costume contest and chili cook-off on October 31. Ten staff members brought their chili A-games to the cook-off, with Senior Marketing Manager Gage Charleton winning the big prize with his “Chili Chili Bang Bang” effort, while prizes in the costume contest recognized the most original, the best DIY and “People’s Choice”. Bellantone, Jenkins Visit Industry Companies On East Coast Road Trip

In October, PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, and PPAI Board Chair Mark Jenkins, MAS+, embarked on a road trip up the East Coast, visiting with industry companies along the way. On the drive, Bellantone and Jenkins met with companies in Connecticut, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, D.C., to connect and learn more about what the Association can do for them and the industry. MiPPA’s End Buyer Show Draws Strong Crowds, Education

The Michigan Promotional Products Association (MiPPA) brought the promotional products industry to Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions in downtown Detroit, on October 15 for Promotions That Roar!, the regional association’s first end-user show. The day included a keynote presentation by PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, in Ford Field’s Hall of Legends, an exhibit hall with featuring 80 industry suppliers, and an awards ceremony and reception honoring MiPPA Past Presidents Scott Petrowski and Tim Stedman with the regional association’s Outstanding Service Award. Charles River Apparel Invites Customers To Boston’s Charles River Regatta

Charles River Apparel hosted a number of its key distributor customers October 18-19 for the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Massachusetts.
