CPSC Levies A Record $15.4 Million Penalty

On March 25, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Gree Electric Appliances Inc., of Zhuhai, China; Hong Kong Gree Electric Appliances Sales Co. Ltd., of Hong Kong; and Gree USA Sales Ltd., of City of Industry, California, have agreed to pay a record civil penalty of $15.45 million.
