The industry’s regional associations have big things in store for Promotional Products Work! Week (PPW! Week). Running April 24-28, PPW! Week is an industry-wide celebration of promotional products and the value they create. And alongside industry professionals and businesses, the regional associations have lined up tours, education opportunities, community outreach initiatives and more to celebrate and increase awareness about promotional products and their effectiveness as an advertising medium.

Regional associations all over the country are planning events and programs around PPW! Week. Here are just a few:

  • Promotional Professionals Association of Chicago’s PPW! Week schedule includes factory tours, education webinars, a member appreciation luncheon and a charity drive. On April 24, it will join suppliers Toddy Gear and alphabroder to give its members tours of their facilities. On April 25, PPAI Diversity Development and Engagement Manager Seth Barnett is hosting a pair of webinars for PPAChicago members on attracting, engaging and retaining young staff, and managing the Millennial market. On April 26, the association is hosting a free luncheon as a thank-you to its members. On April 27, it will hold a charity drive in support of the Riverside Foundation.
  • Michigan Promotional Professionals Association (MiPPA) and its membership are connecting with their community and industry companies. On April 24, Patrick Kelleher of Headfirst Printing, and other distributors in the Plymouth, Michigan, area, are sharing the industry’s story with the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce. On April 25, members are touring AmeriFoam’s factory and bringing staff members from the office of Rep. John Moolenaar with them. On April 26, Bill Petrie of PromoCorner is hosting a webinar for MiPPA members, “The Lessons of 100%: Strategies to Reduce Client Friction to Sell More.”
  • Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC) is hosting events every night of Promotional Products Work! Week, including 20 networking events. Five of the networking events are Next Gen events geared toward industry members under 35. On April 27, SAAC has partnered with Ceramic Source in Vernon, California, for a factory tour. Now in its fifth year, PPW! Week is tapping into the successful and growing Get In Touch!® campaign, the industry's first-of-its-kind, multiyear, multimillion-dollar branding initiative targeted at promotional products buyers. The Get In Touch! campaign is designed to increase awareness and enhance the overall perception of promotional products and direct a larger share of advertising dollars to our industry.

PPW! Week and the Get In Touch! campaign are designed to increase awareness and drive traffic to regional and industry participant websites, educate buyers and drive business referrals to promotional products consultants. More information and planning tools are available at PPAI.org/PPWWeek.
