Today in Lansing, Michigan, PPAI is joining with the Michigan Promotional Professionals Association (MiPPA) to bring Legislative Education and Action Day (L.E.A.D.) to the state capitol. PPAI staff, MiPPA leadership and industry professionals held a breakfast for state legislators and their staff, and spent the day meeting with lawmakers to educate them on their state’s promotional products industry.

Promotional products advocates are encouraged to add their voice to the conversation and participate in PPAI’s virtual fly-in, exclusively for Michigan-based industry members. The virtual fly-in is an opportunity to illuminate the value and scope of the promotional products industry, share insights about the state’s promotional products businesses with those who are most active in Michigan and strengthen the conversations industry representatives are having with legislators. PPAI reached out via email to members in Michigan with instructions for participating in the virtual fly-in.

L.E.A.D. Local is part of PPAI’s state-level legislative outreach efforts and delivers the promotional products industry’s message to state legislators. It is conducted alongside PPAI’s federal-level outreach and engagement with legislators, government agencies and regulatory groups, and the annual L.E.A.D. in Washington, D.C.
