The latest Nor’easter to hit the northeast U.S. in the past two weeks has postponed the Season Opener Expo hosted by the New England Promotional Products Association. The show was to have opened today in Foxborough, Massachusetts. In a social media post, Executive Director Carol Boutwell says the decision was made in the interest of safety for all, and the rescheduled show date will be announced as soon as it is determined.

Across New England, heavy snow and strong winds are also causing business closures. This morning, supplier TK Cups-Sorg’s (PPAI 114089) announced it is closed for the day but does have some employees working remotely. Email info@tkcups-sorgs.com for assistance. The company hopes to reopen on Wednesday. Supplier Hub Pen Company (PPAI 110772) in Braintree, Massachusetts, is also closed today as is supplier Bay State Specialty (PPAI 113896) in Middleboro, Massachusetts. The company shipped out all Tuesday scheduled orders on Monday and, according to a social media post, will contact customers directly if it foresees any problems in meeting deadlines.

Supplier Charles River Apparel (PPAI 111644) in Sharon, Massachusetts is closed, but customer service is available to take calls. A social media post says orders placed online will ship on Wednesday.

Supplier Ad-A-Day Co., Inc. (PPAI 111105) in Tauton, Massachusetts, has also closed for the safety of its employees and directs customers to email the company at sales@ad-a-day.com for assistance. It expects to reopen on Wednesday with a possible delayed start.

Industry companies may report weather closings and delays to PPB Newslink by emailing JamesK@ppai.org.
