Houston, Texas-based supplier Hirsch Gift (PPAI 221823), in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, has issued a voluntary recall of wireless charging pads due to a burn hazard they may pose to consumers. No injuries have been reported.

“About a month ago, we initiated a voluntary recall by contacting all distributors that ordered the specific version of the CloudCharge Wireless Charging Pad,” says Peter Hirsch, president of Hirsch Gift. “This recall was as a result of seven incidents of overheating reported out of 21,000 units sold between February and May of this year. So far, the recall has been a success due to our team alerting affected distributors prior to the official recall being announced.”

The chargers are circular and have a white plastic bottom; the product name and model number T4706 are printed on the bottom.

Consumers should contact Hirsch Gift toll-free at 877-220-4438, ext. 117, from 9 am to 5 pm CT Monday through Friday, email recall@hirschgift.com or visit https://hg-promo.com/ and click on the recall link at the bottom of the page for more information.
