Supplier Fey Promotional Products Group (PPAI 113944) announced today that it has acquired the assets of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, supplier Magna-Tel, Inc. (PPAI 111514).

“This acquisition brings together two long-standing suppliers of promotional products,” says Mike Fey, president of Edgerton, Minnesota-based Fey Promotional Products Group, “We truly are excited to have the opportunity to align ourselves with a company such as this that has a long standing reputation of the highest product quality and an extensive history of excellent customer service.”

Founded in 1959, Magna-Tel specializes in American-made flexible magnets and removable skins for electronic devices called Techno-Skinz. The company started out with a rear-mounted vehicle sign called ‘The Bumpa-Tel Sign’ and it introduced the first magnetic car sign in the early 1960s. Magna-Tel, Inc. continued to expand its product development over the years and now offers completely customized magnets and electronic device skins that are unique and customizable.

Mindy Statler, operations manager of Magna-Tel, Inc., adds, “I’m very excited to have become a part of the Fey Promotional Products family. Fey PPG is one of the promotional products industry leaders, and aligning with their team enables Magna-Tel to move upwards to greater things not yet achieved.”

Fey Promotional Products Group Marketing Director Ron Williams says, “Mi Line by Fey of course produces magnets, but this union will result in something very special. With the ability to completely customize relevant consumer-needed items,  in addition to moving into the tech side of promotional items via the Magna-Tel Skinz, I see this as a win for Fey, a win for Magna-Tel and a win for the entire promotional products industry.

“In reality, Fey PPG and Magna-Tel are rarities in the promotional products industry because both concentrate on manufacturing their product lines rather than importing and decorating, so in my mind it’s also a win for our country.”

Both companies will be exhibiting at The PPAI Expo this week. Fey Promotional Products Group will be at booths #3037- #3045, and Magna-Tel will be at booth #3939.
